Every thriving office begins with trust. Not just trust in the systems or the strategy, but in people. Trust that someone will raise their hand when the road gets rocky. Trust that someone will offer a solution when things get stuck. Trust that someone will see you, support you, and help you grow.

Planting seeds of leadership in 2021

When we began building in Kenya in 2021, we knew we were planting the seeds of something important. We couldn’t fully imagine how deep and strong those roots would grow, not just in skill, but in leadership.

Over the past few years, we’ve had the honor of watching a remarkable leadership journey unfold. It wasn’t built overnight. It came through mentorship, training, real-world challenges, and quiet, consistent effort.

What does true leadership look like?

Recently, we had the privilege of celebrating it all at our Kenya Leaders’ Dinner.  It was an evening full of stories, reflections, laughter, and truth.

We sat together, not just as colleagues, but as a community. We heard from individuals who had started as new hires, unsure and still learning, and now lead teams with clarity, vision, and strength. We heard from those who’ve made mistakes and owned them, who’ve led through trial and error, and those who’ve carried their teams forward not by perfection, but by presence.

From new hires to leaders — Voices of growth and presence at the Kenya Leaders’ Dinner.

Leadership Through All Seasons

What became clear that evening and in so many moments along the way is this:

Leadership is not just for easy days.

Our Kenyan leaders also show up on the hard days. They lead through late nights, tough decisions, shifting goals, and growing pains. They lead through change, providing stability in times of uncertainty. They lead with consistency, showing up every day with the same heart and driving even when no one is watching.

They don’t lead out of ego or obligation. They lead out of faith: faith in the mission, faith in their teams, and faith in the possibility of who they can become.

In choosing to grow themselves, they have also helped others grow. They have created space for new voices, mentored team members, offered guidance, and modeled what it means to lead with courage, empathy, and integrity.

Celebrating Our Leaders

The Kenya Leaders’ Dinner was more than just a gathering; it was a celebration of character, consistency, and care.

We toasted to those who have guided our HR, sales, contracting, testing, and legal teams with strength and vision. We honored those who lead with quiet excellence, the leaders who don’t seek credit but earn it daily through their actions.

We heard from a leader who now trains new hires, sharing a guiding philosophy that is rooted in integrity. We listened as a sales leader reminded us that leadership is also about mindset, saying: “I don’t say no to anything, except the idea that sales is hard.” These weren’t just stories; they were reflections of who we’ve become as a company.

Celebrating our leaders at the Kenya Leaders’ Dinner

We celebrated the trust that’s been built, the kind that turns coworkers into collaborators and teams into families. We celebrated the growth we’ve seen, not only in charts or checklists, but in people: in their confidence, clarity, and character.

Most importantly, we celebrated the fact that leadership in Kenya is no longer a dream; it’s a living, breathing reality. One that strengthens our global operations, brings diverse ideas to the table, and inspires us every day.

The Legacy of Leadership

Leadership is not a title; it’s a responsibility. It is earned through choices, forged in hard moments, and proven through service.

To our Kenyan leaders: thank you.
Thank you for showing up on the easy days and the hard days.
Thank you for leading through change and consistency.
Thank you for believing in our mission and helping us believe in ourselves.

You have not only shaped teams, but you’ve also shaped a culture.
You’ve made us all better.
For that, we celebrate you today and every day.
