Essential Chart has a very powerful data model. You can simply add data points to a series and let the chart manage it, or you can use the built-in ChartDataBindModel to specify the column names containing the x and y values to easily bind data to a data set. For added flexibility, implement the simple IChartSeriesModel interface and plug in your custom model.
