How to fire event after sorting in WinForms GridDataBound?

2 mins read

There are no events for sorting, while performing the sorting operation in the WinForms GridDataBoundGrid. However, you can use the BindingListChanged event that is triggered when the data is sorted.

C#

this.gridDataBoundGrid1.Binder.BindingListChanged += Binder_BindingListChanged;
//occurs when the sorting is fired
void Binder_BindingListChanged(object sender, ListChangedEventArgs e)
{
MessageBox.Show("Sorting is done successfully");
}

VB

Private Me.gridDataBoundGrid1.Binder.BindingListChanged += AddressOf Binder_BindingListChanged
'occurs when the sorting is fired
Private Sub Binder_BindingListChanged(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As ListChangedEventArgs)
MessageBox.Show("Sorting is done successfully")
End Sub
