Browse multidimensional data organized in the form of dimensions, measures, named sets, and KPIs in a cube format, as well as relational data with the pivot client control. You can visualize the results in graphical (pivot chart) and tabular (pivot grid) formats. The control can also be used to create and edit reports on the fly that are stored for later use.
Bind both OLAP and relational data sources.
Our pivot client control is supported in all the major browsers in use today, including:
Build analysis and decision-making applications in which end users can easily drag elements of their choice to visualize performance, trends, outliers, and more.
Display a set of multidimensional and relational data in a concise, precise, and compact area. Rendering of data in tabular format can be easily understood by users of any level.
Pivot chart provides a user-friendly graphical UI. Interactive capabilities allow end users to expand/collapse different levels in a hierarchical dimension.
A named set is a multidimensional expressions (MDX) expression that returns a set of dimension members, which can be defined and saved as a part of the cube definition. Named sets are created by combining cube data, arithmetic operators, numbers, and functions. Named sets simplify MDX queries and provide useful aliases for complex, typically used, set expressions.
The layout of pivot client’s visualization controls can be customized by placing them in either tab or tile view. In tab view, both grid and chart will be displayed in a separate tab, whereas in tile view both grid and chart will be displayed one-over-the-other within the same layout.
Default view defines the initial layout for the pivot client.
Show only the chart or the grid.
Collapse the axis element builder and cube dimension browser panel.
Pivot grid and pivot chart can be maximized to full screen mode. Grid and chart will be aligned as per the pivot client layout. You can also perform drill up/down actions in the maximized view.
Filter members in a hierarchy either by their labels or values. This is available for OLAP data sources (in both server and client mode) and relational data sources (in client mode alone).
Filtering by members in pivot client provides you the option to check or uncheck the nodes in an editor to filter specific members.
Create and update reports on the fly by dragging items from the cube dimension browser to the axis element builder. We can also change the axis of each item by dragging the split button between different axes in the axis element builder.
Perform various operations, such as adding new reports, removing existing reports, renaming existing reports, and saving and loading reports. End users can also view the visualization controls in maximized view, perform Excel export, and more.
Save the current report collection to the database using the toolbar. Load the report collection from the database. While loading back from the database, report names from the report collection will be displayed, allowing the end user to select the desired report with ease.
Load and render large amounts of data without any performance constraint through pager.
Toggle axis will swap items between column and row axes, refreshing pivot chart and pivot grid accordingly.
Export the pivot chart and the pivot grid to Excel, Word, and PDF documents.
Localization is the process of customizing the user interface (UI) based upon the local culture setting. Using this feature, data can be displayed in a specific language.
Inside the cube dimension browser, tree view can be viewed in a filtered manner through the measure groups option. This feature allows you to view the list of measures and dimensions associated with the selected measure group from cube. This is applicable only for OLAP data sources.
Switch among different types of predefined themes to view the controls in different formats. Supported themes are flat-azure, flat-azure-dark, flat-lime, flat-lime-dark, flat-saffron, flat-saffron-dark, gradient-azure, gradient-azure-dark, gradient-lime, gradient-lime-dark, gradient-saffron, and gradient-saffron-dark.
Craft sites to provide an optimal viewing experience and easy reading. Navigate with a minimum of resizing, panning, and scrolling across a wide range of devices from tablets to desktops. By using this feature, you can achieve an effective view of the pivot client in all devices, including desktops, tablets, and mobiles.
Angular binding provides structural Framework for dynamic web apps. It lets you use HTML as your template language and lets you extend the syntax of HTML to express your application’s components clearly and succinctly.
The Knockout binding system provides a concise and powerful way to link data to the UI. It’s generally easy and obvious to bind to simple data properties.
