How to install a patch that I got from Support

The patch installs will be given for users packed with custom dlls built with inclusion of any fix/feature requested from user end.

The dlls that are shipped in this install will replace the existing dll in all the locations including the precompiled assemblies path. Please follow the below steps while installing custom patch.

1. Take a backup of your current precompiled assemblies folder (C:\Program Files\Syncfusion\Essential Studio\${studio_version}\precompiledassemblies\${studio_version}).

2. Install the patch. This will replace the existing dlls in the precompiled assemblies path and will run the Assembly Manager utility to install and configure the new assemblies in the machine.

Revert back to old assemblies:

To revert back to the dlls that came up with the installation, please do the following.

1. Rename the current precompiled assemblies folder to any other name.

2. Copy the precompiled assemblies folder that was taken as a backup and rename it as 'precompiledassemblies'.

3. Open Assembly Manager from Dashboard (Dashboard --> Assembly Management --> Assembly Manager).

4. Select 'Remove all versions' and do 'Perform Action'.

5. Once done, select 'Install version ${studio_version}' and do 'Perform Action'.

6. This will configure the assemblies of specific version in your machine and will ensure that the new version is updated in your machine.
