How to configure the Syncfusion controls manually for VS2002, VS2003 and VS2005?

2 mins read

On some systems the Essential Studio toolbox installer fails to correctly add the components to the Visual Studio toolbox. If the components weren't added to your toolbox, run the "Reset Visual Studio Toolbox" tool located in the TROUBLESHOOTING menu under the Syncfusion entry in your Start Menu. If running the utility doesn't help, you can manually add the components to your toolbox using the following steps.

In Visual Studio 2002 or 2003

  1. Right-click in your Toolbox and select "Add Tab".
  2. Give the new tab a name, such as Syncfusion, and make it the current tab.
  3. Right-click inside the Tab and choose "Add/Remove Items".
  4. Select the .NET Framework Components tab.
  5. Click on the Namespace column header to sort by Namespace.
  6. Select the first component in the Syncfusion namespace. Hold down the Shift key and select the last component in the namespace. This should select all the Syncfusion components.
  7. Click an unchecked check box to check all of the selected components.
  8. Click the OK button.

In Visual Studio 2005

  1. Right-click in your Toolbox and select "Add Tab".
  2. Give the new tab a name, such as Syncfusion, and make it the current tab.
  3. Right-click inside the Tab and choose "Choose Items".
