How to change the date formats of DatePicker widgets

How to change the date format of Date Picker widget?

You can change the date format of the Date Picker widget by changing the application’s culture or language into the required culture/language (i.e. if you want to display DayMonthYear date formats in the date picker, you need to change the application culture into United Kingdom). The following steps explain how to change the date formats from MonthDayYear into DayMonthYear (i.e. en-US to en-GB culture).

  1. Go to Dashboard Designer installed location (i.e. C:\Program Files (x86)\Syncfusion\Dashboard Designer\DashboardDesigner).
  2. Create a copy of the default resource file (Resources.en-US.resx) available in the localization folder. (i.e. C:\Program Files (x86)\Syncfusion\Dashboard Designer\DashboardDesigner\Localization)

  1. Rename the file as Resources.<culturename>.resx. Here, the culture name illustrates the codes of language and country.

For example: If your culture code is en-GB then, you need to specify the file name as Resources.en-GB.resx for English - United Kingdom culture.

  1. Open the dashboard application and design your report with the date picker. Date-time format will be applied based on the new language selection. You can also open an existing report and change the language to change the date-time format.
