How to convert an Excel file to CSV in C#, VB.NET?

Syncfusion Essential XlsIO is a .NET Excel library used to create, read, and edit Excel documents. Using this library, you can convert an Excel file with simple text into CSV file.

 

Steps to convert Excel file to CSV file programmatically:

 

  1. Create a new C# console application project.

 

Create empty Console application in Visual Studio

 

  1. Install the Syncfusion.XlsIO.Base NuGet package as reference to your .NET Framework applications from NuGet.org.

 

Add XlsIO reference to a project

 

  1. Include the following namespace in the Program.cs file.

 

 

 

  1. Use the following code snippet to convert an Excel file with simple text into CSV file.
