Xamarin project template issue with Visual Studio 2017 (15.7.4 and later)

Syncfusion Xamarin project template (v16.2.0.41) will throw the below exception when create a new project in a machine installed with Visual Studio 2017 (15.7.4 and later).

The above exception occurred due to getting Android SDK installed location from registry for Visual Studio 2017 (15.7.4 and later). You can resolve this by replace the below shared patch file for the Syncfusion Xamarin Project Template extension v16.2.0.41. 

Reinstall Syncfusion Xamarin Project Template extension

Perform the following steps to replace and reinstall the updated Syncfusion Xamarin Project Template extension.

1. Download the Xamarin project template patch and extract the zip file.

2. Remove the existing “Project Templates” directory from the below location.    

C:\Program Files (x86)\Syncfusion\Essential Studio\Xamarin\16.2.0.41\Utilities\Extensions\Xamarin\

3. Now, copy the extracted Project Templates directory to the above-mentioned location. Then, perform the steps mentioned in the below Knowledge Base to re-install the updated Syncfusion Xamarin Project Template extension to your Visual Studio.
