How to use vertical argument in template markers using XlsIO?

This article explains how to use vertical argument in template markers using XlsIO.

 

What is vertical argument?

 

The argument vertical specified in template marker fills data in vertical direction. By default, the data fill direction is vertical. So, it is not necessary to give vertical argument.

 

Syntax

 

%<MarkerVariable>.<Property>;vertical

 

Steps to use vertical argument

 

  1. Create a workbook template with markers in it. Here, Employee is the marker variable referred to a class object, followed by its properties separated by dot (.).

worksheet["A4"].Text = "%Employee.Name;vertical";
worksheet["B4"].Text = "%Employee.Id;vertical";
worksheet["C4"].Text = "%Employee.Age;vertical";

  1. Create template marker processor.

ITemplateMarkersProcessor marker = workbook.CreateTemplateMarkersProcessor();

 

  1. Add a variable name that is equal to the class object specified in step 1.

marker.AddVariable("Employee", GetEmployeeDetails());

 

  1. Apply markers.
