How to configure Syncfusion controls in Visual Studio 2017 for non-admin user?

For the user account without admin permission, Syncfusion controls will not be configured in Visual Studio 2017 toolbox due to insufficient permissions. Follow the suggested steps and configure the Syncfusion controls in Visual Studio 2017:

1. Close all the running Visual Studio instances.

2. Open the command prompt in non-admin mode.

3. Navigate to the below ToolBoxInstallers location and run the ToolboxInstallerConsole_VS2017.exe with the following arguments:

ToolboxInstallers location:

{ProgramFilesFolder}\Syncfusion\Essential Studio\{version}\Utilities\ToolBoxInstallers

Example:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Syncfusion\Essential Studio\15.3.0.26\Utilities\ToolBoxInstallers

Arguments:

install {framework} {platform}

Example:

install 4.6 WPF

For ASP.NET and Windows Forms, you can provide the platform name as ASP.NET and Windows correspondingly.

4. Now, open the Visual Studio 2017 and Syncfusion controls will be configured.
