While previewing the dashboard, it will be displayed in the Dashboard Viewer as shown in the following screenshot.

To show the last updated time based on the data column of database, which holds the information about last modified or updated database, use the following syntax.

Syntax: {{:max(UpdateDateTime_Column)}}

For example, Sale by country - {{:max(Date)}}

C:\Users\rajendran.murugan\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\INetCache\Content.Word\2.png

While previewing the dashboard, the maximum date of the selected date column will be shown.

How to show TimeSpan for the Last Updated Time in Dashboard Viewer

TimeSpan returns the difference between the current time and the dashboard/widget updated time.

To configure the timespan parameter in the Heading, Subheading, and Description sections of the widget, refer to the following syntax.

Syntax: {{:TimeSpan(UpdatedTime)}}: It is used to show the last updated time as TimeSpan value from now.

For example, the Heading of the widget as Sales by country - Updated {{:TimeSpan(UpdatedTime)}} ago.

C:\Users\rajendran.murugan\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\INetCache\Content.Word\3.png

While previewing the dashboard, the TimeSpan for the last updated time will be shown in the Dashboard Viewer as follows.

After one minute, TimeSpan value gets updated automatically.

Or

Syntax: {{:TimeSpan(max(DatabaseUpdatedTimeColumn))}}: It is used to show the timespan value of database modified time from now.

For example, Sales by country – Updated {{:TimeSpan(max(Date))}} ago.

C:\Users\rajendran.murugan\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\INetCache\Content.Word\4.png

It’s dashboard preview in the Dashboard Viewer is obtained as follows.

To get the combination of Hours and Minutes based on TimeSpan value, refer to the given example.

Syntax: Sales by country - Last Updated on {{:TimeSpanHours(UpdatedTime)}} {{:TimeSpanMinutes(UpdatedTime)}} ago

C:\Users\rajendran.murugan\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\INetCache\Content.Word\5.png

Now, the preview of the dashboard is obtained as follows.
