Platform: ASP.NET Web Forms |

In Gantt Control, it is possible to get the resource details after adding a new record, using the actionComplete client Side event.

The following code snippet explains how to map the resource details in a project and to trigger an action after adding a new record using actionComplete event.

[ASPX]
<ej:Gantt ID="Gantt" runat="server"
     //...
            ActionComplete="actionComplete"
            ResourceInfoMapping="ResourceID"
            ResourceNameMapping="ResourceName"
            ResourceIdMapping="ResourceID">
    //…
</ej:Gantt>

<script type="text/javascript">
      function actionComplete(args) {
            if (args.requestType === 'save' && args.addedRecord) {
                //Newly Added Record is obtained here , which can be updated to atabase
                var name=[];
                var length = args.addedRecord.resourceInfo.length;
                for (i = 0; i < length; i++) {
                    name[i] = args.addedRecord.resourceInfo[i].ResourceName;
                }
                return name;
            }
        }
    </script>

[ASPX.CS]

public partial class GanttSample : System.Web.UI.Page
    {
        protected void Page_Load(object sender, EventArgs e)
        {
            //…
            this.Gantt.Resources = resource;
        }

        public class GanttDefaultData
        {
            public class TaskDetails
            {
               //…
                public List<object> ResourceID { get; set; }
            }
            public class ResourceDataContext
            {
                public class Resources
                {
                    public int ResourceID { get; set; }
                    public string ResourceName { get; set; }
                }
                public static List<Resources> GetResourceData()
                {
                    List<Resources> resourceDetails = new List<Resources>();

                    resourceDetails.Add(new Resources() { ResourceID = 1, ResourceName = "Project Manager" });
                    //…
                    return resourceDetails;
                }
            }
         }
        public class DefaultData
        {
            //…
            public List<object> ResourceID { get; set; }
        }
    }
}
