What will be the best practice way to update Xamarin controls in an existing project?

The best way to update Syncfusion control is to uninstall the existing package and install the new version of package.

Updating NuGet packages in Visual Studio

To update the Syncfusion Nuget packages in Visual Studio follow the below steps

  1. In Visual studio, right click on the project solution, select Manage NuGet Packages for Solutions, the NuGet window will appear on the screen.

  1. In the Package source, choose Syncfusion.

Note: In case, if Syncfusion package is not configured, check here to configure it.

  1. Now under the Installed tab, select the Syncfusion control which you want to update and click Uninstall button.

  1. Now under the Browse tab, select the Syncfusion control which you want to update.
  2. Then select the required version in Version drop-down box and click the Install button.

Updating NuGet packages in Xamarin Studio

To update the Syncfusion Nuget packages in Xamarin Studio follow the below steps

  1. In Xamarin studio, select solution project -> Packages.
  2. Right click the Syncfusion control which you want to update and click the Remove option to uninstall the existing control.

  1. In the project, right click on the Packages item, select Add Packages, the Add Packages dialog box will appear on the screen

  1. Select Syncfusion NuGet on the drop-down box that appear in the left corner of the dialog box.
  2. Select the required Syncfusion control.
  3. Select the required version in Version drop-down box and click the Add Packages button.
