How to get Dashboard (*.sydx) files from the Dashboard Server machine manually and open them in the Dashboard Designer ?

Usually we have stored the uploaded Dashboard, Data Source and Widget files into the deployed folder of the installed machine. Dashboard Server is deployed in the below location by default.

{Windows_Drive}\Syncfusion\Dashboard Server\DashboardServer.Web\

For example, C:\Syncfusion\Dashboard Server\DashboardServer.Web\

Dashboard, Data Source and Widget files are added in below the resources folder.

{Windows_Drive}\Syncfusion\Dashboard Server\DashboardServer.Web\App_Data\Resources

These files can be either downloaded from the Dashboard Server interface or loaded in the Dashboard Designer manually.

Please follow the below steps to get the corresponding Dashboard or Data Source or Widget files from Dashboard Server.

  1. The Dashboard, Data Source and Widget files are stored in unique GUID folder names as below. 

 

C:\Users\rajkumar.muniappan\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\INetCache\Content.Word\MicrosoftTeams-image (17).png

 

  1. We have stored the Dashboard, Data Source and Widget files into the version folder inside of it.

C:\Users\rajkumar.muniappan\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\INetCache\Content.Word\MicrosoftTeams-image (16).png

 

  1. The largest number folder represents the latest files.
  2. Pick the latest files from the largest version number folder.
  3. After picking up the files, zip them and save it with extension as per the file type as below.
  1. For Dashboard - .SYDX 
  2. For Widget - .SYDW 
  1. For Data Sources, change the extension to .SYDS

 

  1. Open the files in Dashboard Designer which is saved with corresponding format.
