Why Syncfusion Javascript Nuget directory structure modified?

3 mins read

The JavaScript NuGet package has been modified from 2015 Volume 4 Service Pack 1. Now the control-based script files and its dependents are included in the “Syncfusion JavaScript” NuGet package. So we can utilize both combined and specific (control based) script files in our projects.

Script structure before 2015 Volume 4 Service Pack 1(v13.4.0.58):

Before 2015 Volume 4 Service Pack-1, Combined and culture script files are shipped in the Syncfusion JavaScript NuGet package.

Please refer the below screenshot for more information.  Syncfusion JavaScript NuGet package structure before 2015 Volume 4 Service Pack-1.

In order to use any of Syncfusion controls, We need to include and refer the combined script files (ej.web.all.min, ej.Mobile.all.min, ej.widget.all.min) in our project. These combined script files are having the source of all syncfusion JavaScript controls. So we need to use these minified files even we have used less syncfusion controls in our project.

Script structure after 2015 Volume 4 Service Pack 1(v13.4.0.58):

From 2015 Volume 4 Service Pack-1, Individual (control based and its dependents) and combined script files both are included in Syncfusion JavaScript NuGet package. So user can utilize the scripts based on their needs.

Please refer the screenshot for overall scripts structure in JavaScript NuGet Packages. Overall script files structure in JavaScript NuGet package.

Note:

If you required to use the control-based script files, please refer the “Requires” topic in each control inside of API reference in JavaScript User Guide location. For instance you can get the required script files for ejAutocomplete control from here
