How to change different background colour for HeaderRowControl in Silverlight DataGrid?

1 min read

The requirement “HeaderRowControl having different color than the rest of Grid” indicates to set separate background color for the HeaderRowControl. This is achieved by applying Custom style for HeaderRowControl. Using this you can set separate background color for HeaderRowControl. You can refer the following XAML code example.

XAML

<Window.Resources>

        <Style TargetType="{x:Type syncfusion:HeaderRowControl}">

            <Setter Property="Background" Value="Blue" />

        </Style>

</Window.Resources>

        <syncfusion:SfDataGrid x:Name="datagrid"

                              AllowSorting="True"

                              AutoGenerateColumns="False"

                              ColumnSizer="Star"

                              ItemsSource="{Binding GDCSource}" >

            <syncfusion:SfDataGrid.Columns>

                <syncfusion:GridTextColumn MappingName="EmployeeDesignation" />

                <syncfusion:GridTextColumn MappingName="EmployeeArea"/>

                <syncfusion:GridTextColumn MappingName="EmployeeName"/>

                <syncfusion:GridTextColumn MappingName="EmployeeSalary"/>

                <syncfusion:GridDateTimeColumn MappingName="EmployeeDate" />

                <syncfusion:GridTextColumn MappingName="EmployeeGender"/>

            </syncfusion:SfDataGrid.Columns>

        </syncfusion:SfDataGrid>
