How to Include Popup Annotation in PDF document using PDF Viewer for WPF?

Currently, WPF does not have support for including the pop-up annotation using the PdfViewerControl. However, the following workaround has the support for the same action in WPF.

C#

Steps to be followed:

  1. Drag the text box control, which is available at the left, to the displayed document at the required position.
  2. Using the text box, you can enter and edit the text, and also move and delete the text box control.
  3. To save the pop-up annotations in the document, go to File, and click Save. It will save the text as PopupAnnotation in the resultant file.
  4. To open a new document, go to File, and click Save.

Hi Team,

Thanks for this sample. There is a issue with multi page pdf, like when the pdf contains multiple pages, if I drag the Textbox control to page 2, seems like this is copied to all pages. It is diplaed on next and previous pages as well. Can we restrict this to the page where we are placing the textbox?

Above issue is caused because, we are creating a canvas and converting page as image.

We don't mind converting pdf to image, can we addredd below questions

1. Do we need to create different canvas for each page, to have different annotation to be placed on different pages?

2. Can entire pdf can be viewed at once, using scroll instead of prev/ next?

3. Can we create thumbnail view of the pdf?
