How to configure splits in the WinForms SyntaxEditor?

3 mins read

Split configuration

Splits contain list of expressions that must be treated as a single word. To configure the splits in WinForms EditControl, specify the required word in the split section.

The following is the code example that demonstrates the same.

XML

<!--Combines special character with the keyword-->
      <split>.public</split>
      <split>.class</split>

By using the split configuration, ignore the lexemes preceded by a dot.

For example:

The Class and public are keywords in the EditControl. By using the Splits concept in the EditControl, you can ignore this keyword when it is preceded with a Dot. When .public is loaded in the EditControl, public is not highlighted as keyword.
