What is the difference between data label shape and data label template?

Data Labels can be displayed as a rectangle or a circle in the background by using the shape property of the Data Label. Data label template refers to displaying Data Labels along with HTML elements like img, div, and span in the Data Labels by using template property of the Data Label.

Data label template is more customizable than Data Labels because HTML elements can be styled by using CSS, whereas customization of data label shapes is limited and HTML elements like image, table, etc., cannot be displayed in the data label shapes. The following code example illustrates this.
