How to avoid the NullReference exception where an application has more than one GridControl in WPF?

2 mins read

In WPF Grid, you use two or more grids in the same application and try to import an excel file into one grid, then it leads to Null Reference Exception. To avoid the Exception when an application has more than one grids, you have to register the grids by using RegisterGridAsSheet() method except for the grid that holds the imported data from excel as it is internally registered when importing the excel sheet. For example, when one grid contains Formula cells and the other grid contains the imported data from the Excel, you can avoid the Exception by registering the grid with Formula cells as given in the following code example.

C#

GridFormulaEngine.RegisterGridAsSheet("Grid1", Grid1.Model, 0);
