What are the basic elements in JavaScript Chart?

The basic elements in Chart are, axis, chart area, title and legend. Refer to Chart Elements for more information about the elements in Chart.

Axis

Essential Chart supports four different types of axes. You can also add axes to Chart. Refer to Axis for more information about chart axis. The following screenshot displays the different components of an axis.

Title

The title section comprises of title text and sub title text. The following screenshot describes the components of Chart title.

Chart Area

Chart area contains components like major grid lines, minor grid lines, series, marker, data label and strip line. The following screenshot describes the different components present in chart area.

Other than the components described above, chart area also includes crosshair, trackball and tooltip that is visible only during user interaction with Chart.

Legend

Chart legend contains legend title and legend items. The following screenshot describes the elements in Chart legend.
