How to render strip lines behind the series in .NET MVC Chart ?

1 min read

Essential Chart supports rendering strip line behind the series by using ZIndex property of strip line. This property takes values as Behind and Over. By default, strip line appear in front of the series so the part of series overlapping with strip line is not visible. This can be avoided by setting the value of ZIndex property to Behind.

CSHTML

@(Html.EJ().Chart("container")
.CommonSeriesOptions(options=>
    options.Type(SeriesType.Line)
    .Marker(marker=>marker.Visible(true)))
    .PrimaryYAxis(yAxis=>
        yAxis.StripLine(line=>
                {
                    line.Visible(true)
                        .Start(0)
                        .End(15)
                        .Text("Poor performance")
                        .Color("red")
                        .Font(font=>font.Color("white").FontFamily("Arial").Size("16"))
                        .ZIndex(ChartZIndex.Behind)
                        .Add();
                    . . . . . . .
                    . . . . . . .
            }))
)

The above code example renders the chart as follows.
