How to get the Record when Double-Clicked on the Row?

In SfDataGrid, you can get the record based on row and column index from mouse pointer position. The record can be accessed by using any mouse events (example MouseDoubleClick event). This event is triggered when you double click on the row. Within this event, you can access the Visual Container by using the GetVisualContainer() extension method that exists in the Syncfusion.UI.Xaml.Grid.Helpers. The ResolveToRecordIndex is resolved by using current RowIndex and you can get the record index. From record index, you can get the record from dataGrid.View.

Refer the following code to get the record of the row while double click on row.

C#

Refer the following screenshot to get the record from mouse pointer position.

I found this code interesting, and useful but there is a problem when handling a grid with a detailsview containing another grid, the mouse doubleclick is intercepted by the main grid and I need to handle an action getting the data of the main grid if a record on the main grid is double clicked or the data in the detail grid if the detail grid is double clicked. Is there a way to configure the double click so that it uses the real grid clicked?

Hi Sabrina,

We have checked the query and found that you would like to trigger the event when double clicking the record for both main and detail grid. To achieve based on your requirement we suggest you to use recordDoubleClick event in grid.

We have prepared a sample that can be available from the below link.
