How to resolve the installation issue with Essential Studio setup?

1 min read

This issue may arise only when the respective version registry key entry (Eg: 11.1.0.21) has not been properly removed from the machine during the previous uninstallation process.

JIT

Please perform the following steps to resolve the issue.

1. Please open the ‘Registry Editor’ (Start->Run -> Type regedit -> UAC {User Account Control} pop-up window will be open -> Click Ok).

2. Navigate to the system registry location mentioned below and ensure that respective version (which you are trying to install) registry key has been exist.

   For 32-bit machine:

i. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Syncfusion\Essential Suite\InstalledVersions\{Version}

ii. HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Syncfusion\Essential Suite\InstalledVersions\{Version}

   For 64-bit machine:

iii. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Syncfusion\Essential Suite\InstalledVersions\{Version}

iv. HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Wow6432Node\Syncfusion\Essential Suite\InstalledVersions\{Version}

Please refer the following screenshot:Registry_Key

3. If any such registry key exists, then please remove / delete that registry key entry from the above mentioned registry location. Else, do nothing.

4. Navigate to the Temp directory (Click Start, type %temp% in the Search box, and then press Enter) and clear all the files and folders in that directory.

5. Restart your machine.

6. Reinstall the required version Essential studio setup.
