Resolving the “Installation” issue that occurs during Essential Studio installation

Essential Studio is not getting installed and is having issues in the “Preparing to Install” stage even when the steps suggested in the KB article (2329) are performed, or the temp location is cleared and the machine restarted. This installation issue has occurred because the corresponding Essential Studio version entries exist in the registry and program cache location. These entries have not been removed properly while cancelling the installation to reinstall our Essential Studio. In order to install Essential Studio, you should clear those Essential Studio installer-related entries from the registry and installed locations.

Please perform the following steps to resolve the issue:

i. Download the “Microsoft Fix it” tool from the following link:

http://support.microsoft.com/mats/program_install_and_uninstall

ii. Run the downloaded “Microsoft Fix it” tool.

iii. Click Detect problems and let me select the fixes to apply.

iv. Click Installing.

v. Now, select the corresponding Essential Studio name and click Next. Please refer the following screen shot.

vi. Click Yes, try uninstall.

vii. Click Next. Please refer the following screen shot.

ix. Navigate to the Temp directory (Click Start, type %temp% in the Search box, and then press Enter) and clear all the files and folders in that directory.

x. Navigate to the following location and search for Syncfusion-related entries for the required version by using the Search option, and remove the entire folder if the Syncfusion file exists:

{Boot Drive}\ProgramData\Package Cache\

 Eg: C:\ProgramData\Package Cache\

Please refer the following screen shot.

xi. Also, please remove the entire Cabinet files folder for the required version in the same location (if exists).

Please refer the following screen shot.

Xii. Restart your machine.

xiii. Now, you can reinstall our Essential Studio.
