Syncfusion doesn't appear in Add Reference dialog.

If you want to reference the Syncfusion assemblies in a project and the Visual Studio Add Reference dialog doesn’t show the Syncfusion assemblies, do the following:

Ensure that the assemblies exist in GAC from the following locations: For 2.0 and 3.5 assemblies, use C:\Windows\assembly\. For 4.0 assemblies, use C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\assembly\GAC_MSIL\.

If the assemblies do not exist in the GAC location, run the Assembly Manager utility to install the correctly versioned Syncfusion assemblies into the GAC:

  • From the Start menu, select Syncfusion > Essential studio x.x.x.x > Dashboard > Utilities > Assembly Management.
  • Set the assembly type as Prebuilt.
  • Set the action to Install version x.x.x.x.
  • For the framework, select All.
  • Click Perform Action.

Now you are able to reference the Syncfusion assemblies from the .NET tab in the Add Reference option of the Solution Explorer.

For VS2010: Please ensure that the project's target framework has been set to .Net Framework 4.0 instead of .Net Framework 4.0 Client Profile.
