Opening Syncfusion offline documentation from the Dashboard in the version 8.1.0.30

Syncfusion offline Documentation

 

The following is a known issue in version 8.1.0.30 that occurs when opening the Syncfusion offline documentation from the Dashboard. This issue is fixed, and the fixhas been published online.

Please perform the following steps to open the offline documentation:

 

1.      Download the startdexplore.exe file from the following link:

StartExplorer

2.      Replace the startdexplore.exe file from the following location:

                                [Syncfusion Installed path]\Utilities\StartDexplore\

Example: C:\Program Files\Syncfusion\Essential Studio\8.1.0.30\Utilities\StartDexplore\

 

[Syncfusion Documentation Installed path]\Utilities\StartDexplore\

Example: C:\Program Files\Syncfusion\Essential Studio\Documentation\8.1.0.30\Utilities\StartDexplore\

 

3.      Make sure you have the dexplore.exe file from any one of the following locations:

For a 32-bit machine:

i) Installed Drive:\Program Files\Common Files\microsoft shared\Help 9\ ii) Installed Drive:\Program Files\Common Files\microsoft shared\Help 8\

For a 64-Bit Machine:

i) Installed Drive:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\microsoft shared\Help 9\ ii) Installed Drive:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\microsoft shared\Help 8\

4.      Open the Dashboard and clickInstalled Documentation . The Syncfusion locally installed documentation will open in the Document Explorer.
