Configuring the toolbox in VS 2008 with Syncfusion controls

Before configuring the VS 2008 toolbox, please ensure that the necessary Syncfusion framework assemblies are installed on your machine. Follow the link below to find the Syncfusion assemblies:

[Syncfusion Installed Path]\assemblies\3.5

Note: Before configuring the toolbox, you need to close all Visual Studio applications.

Follow the below steps to configure the Toolbox

·       Open the Dashboard from this location:

Start ->Programs ->Syncfusion ->Essential Studio x.x.x.x ->Dashboard

·       The Visual Studio .NET toolbox can be reconfigured under Toolbox Configuration in the Dashboard

 The following options are available under Toolbox Configuration:

·       Install VS2008 - Configures Framework 3.5 Syncfusion controls in the VS 2008 toolbox.

·       Install VS2005 Controls in VS2008 - Configures Framework 2.0 Syncfusion controls in the VS 2008 toolbox.

If you encounter an error message similar to the one depicted below, perform the action described below the image.

Run the Syncfusion Assembly Manager to install the Syncfusion assemblies into the GAC and also in the assemblies folder. Then configure the corresponding framework version assemblies in the Visual Studio toolbox.

In Assembly Manager, if all the framework check boxes are grayed out, please refer to the following Knowledge Base article to resolve this issue
