Resolving an assembly conflict between two different frameworks of Syncfusion assemblies (.NET framework 3.5 and 2.0)

This solution also applies if you received the error message below:

No way to resolve conflict between "Syncfusion.Core, Version=7.403.0.20, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=632609b4d040f6b4" and "Syncfusion.Core, Version=7.402.0.20, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=632609b4d040f6b4".

Solution:

  1. Confirm the framework you are using in your current project (.NET framework 2.0 or 3.5).
  2. Open MultiTarget Manager from the Dashboard or [SyncfusionInstalledPath]\8.1.0.30\Utilities\ MultiTargetManager\MultiTargetManager.exe.
  3. Select the framework you want. (e.g., if you are currently using the 3.5 framework in your project, select 3.5 in MultiTarget Manager and click “Perform Action”)
  4. Delete the bin and obj files or clean your project using the Project context menu on the Solution Explorer.
  5. Ensure that the project does not reference different versions of the assemblies.
  6. Recompile your project; the conflict error will no longer occur.
