Yes. It is possible to display tooltip when mouse hover the captionbar (not only on caption buttons) of the docking window.

This can be achieved in MouseMove event of the docking window say panel1.

The following code snippet can be used.

C#

   private void panel1_MouseMove(object sender, MouseEventArgs e)

        {

ToolTipInfo info = new ToolTipInfo();

info.Body.Text = "This is Caption";

DockHost dhc = panel1.Parent as DockHost;

this.superToolTip1.SetToolTip(dhc, info);

    }

VB

   Private Sub panel1_MouseMove(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As MouseEventArgs)

   Dim info As ToolTipInfo = New ToolTipInfo()

   info.Body.Text = "This is Caption"

   Dim dhc As DockHost = CType(IIf(TypeOf panel1.Parent Is DockHost, panel1.Parent, Nothing), DockHost)

   Me.superToolTip1.SetToolTip(dhc, info)

  End Sub
