Remove context menu for particular tab
This can be achieved by handling the BeforePopup event of TabbedMDIManager.ContextMenuItem. Before that it is necessary to know which Tab is currently active. To keep track of this, SelectedIndexChanged event of MDITabPanel can be used.
1. First handle the TabControlAddedevent of TabbedMDIManager.
2. Then subscribe to the args.TabControl.SelectedIndexChanged event (where args is the argument passed into this event).
3. In the SelectedIndexChanged event handler, store the SelectedTab in a variable which is accessible to all methods inside that class.
4. In the BeforePopup event, check for the tabPageAdv and cancel the context menu by setting e.Cancel=true.
C#
void tb_TabControlAdded(object sender, TabbedMDITabControlEventArgs args) { //throw new Exception("The method or operation is not implemented."); args.TabControl.SelectedIndexChanged += new EventHandler(TabControl_SelectedIndexChanged); } void TabControl_SelectedIndexChanged(object sender, EventArgs e) { // Store in a temporary variable. st = (sender as MDITabPanel).SelectedTab; } void ContextMenuItem_BeforePopup(object sender, CancelEventArgs e) { // Cancelling if the Title is New Document. if (st.Text == "Form2") e.Cancel = true; }
VB
Private Sub tb_TabControlAdded(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal args As TabbedMDITabControlEventArgs) AddHandler args.TabControl.SelectedIndexChanged, AddressOf TabControl_SelectedIndexChanged End Sub Private Sub TabControl_SelectedIndexChanged(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As EventArgs) ' Store in a temporary variable. st = (CType(IIf(TypeOf sender Is MDITabPanel, sender, Nothing), MDITabPanel)).SelectedTab End Sub Private Sub ContextMenuItem_BeforePopup(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As CancelEventArgs) ' Cancelling if the Title is Form2. If st.Text = "Form2" Then e.Cancel = True End If End Sub
