How to specify width for columns in the AutoComplete drop-down?

1 min read

The width of the columns in the WinForms AutoComplete control are specified through the Columns property of the AutoComplete control.

The Columns property of the AutoComplete control is a collection of AutoCompleteDataColumnInfo objects. AutoCompleteDataColumnInfo contains information needed for formatting the display of the column of information in the AutoComplete control’s drop-down list.

When the datasource of the AutoComplete control is set to a valid datasource through the designer, the "Refresh Columns" verb can be invoked to automatically populate the Columns collection.

Once the Columns property has been initialized, the individual columns can be changed by modifying the attributes of the corresponding AutoCompleteDataColumnInfo object.
