What is the docking windows in WinForms Docking Manager?

1 min read

Docking windows

The Essential Tools docking windows architecture enables you to add Visual Studio.NET type dockable controls to Windows Forms applications.

The docking windows framework is implemented using the powerful .NET Extender Provider model and any control on a host form or ContainerControl can be transformed into a full-fledged docking window by simply setting a property within the Windows Forms designer.

The powerful WYSIWYG designer engine further simplifies the design-process by allowing layouts to be designed through intuitive drag-and-drop.

The framework supports an extensive range of docking behaviors such as docking/floating, nested levels, tabbed groups, state transitions, autohide, mdichild transitions, non-dockable, non-floatable options, a unique fill mode, and full state persistence.
