Why is the item shown under the chevron in the Menu bar is not recorded sometimes?

This dynamically generated popup menu is not hooked individually but the bar items are hooked in the XPMenus custom server so as to record Select, therefore if any of the visible bar item is recorded once then there would be no trouble in getting select recorded from any where. The recording from the dynamically generated popup menu, under the chevron, is avoided because hooking the bar item second time, will record Select twice. It is better to record the visible bar item in the menu and then go for the hidden bar items shown under the chevron.
