Add a control at DesignTime to a drived class which already has a reference to the control from the base class.

I would like to Add a control at DesignTime to a drived class which already has a reference to the control from the base class.

when i am doing it right now the Control is added but the designer create a new member at the derived class with the same signature as at the base class, what cause eventually that the original reference to the control at the base class is pointing to nothing (undefined value).
