Rectangle annotation hides axis grid lines on setting fill color.

Grid lines are visible when the fill color is not specified and on setting it the fill color overlaps the grid lines making the grid lines invisible. How can I make the grid lines visible when I am setting fill color for rectangle annotation? It would be great if you can provide a sample that resolves the same.

Hi Joseph Cellucci,

Greetings from Syncfusion.

Query: How can I make the grid lines visible when I am setting fill color for rectangle annotation?

We have analyzed your requirement and we can achieve your requirement by adjusting the opacity of RectangleAnnotation FillColor property. Please refer the following code example,

<chart:SfChart.ChartAnnotations>
            <chart:RectangleAnnotation X1="2" X2="5" Y1="60" Y2="80"
                                       FillColor="#66EA594D" StrokeColor="Red"
                                       CoordinateUnit="Axis"/>
</chart:SfChart.ChartAnnotations>

Please find the sample from the below link,

Please refer the below UG document link for customizing the axis gridline style,

Also, we would like to let you know that we have already considered “Positioning annotation and Series with Z-order” as a feature. You can track the status of this from below link,

Please cast your vote to make it count. We will prioritize the features every release based on the demands and we do not have immediate plan to implement this feature since we committed with already planned work. So, this feature will be available any of our upcoming release.

Please let us know if you need any further assistance on this.

Regards,
Devakumar D
