Rollup of dates when parent task has no date

I'm having trouble with dates when the parent task has no dates. With a single parent all is fine, but when I have more levels it is doing something odd:


Branch 2 has a parent between itself and the child tasks. Why does the start date of Parent 2 get set somewhere off to the left (In 1969) when I would expect it to be the same as Parent 2.1?

I have tried adding dates to the parent tasks...

But I cannot even begin to describe what is happening here.

We are using ej1 because we have issues with Kanban in ej2.

We are able to reproduce the reported error. We logged bug report for this. The status can be tracked from below feedback link. 
We will fix this issue and the fix will be included in our upcoming patch release which is expected to be rolled out on November 18, 2020.Until then we appreciate your patience.

Thanks, there is something odd with my forum requests, I need this in ej1.

Also, could you send it to as an ej.gantt.all.min.js - how soon do these changes get to the custom script page?

We have fixed the reported issue and provided sample in EJ1 only.

We are releasing CSG script for Main and SP releases alone. So the above changes will be included in our Vol 4 Main release and CSG will be available at the end of December, 2020.
