changing values makes the control red

I want to reset the values in the daterange picker. When i do that, it makes the control red, i'm assuming to indicate "state changed", however i just want to make it look normal after a "reset". can you please let me know how to do that.

2.     Whether you have reset to the old value (previous selected value) or any other value like null.
