Hello,

When binding a DataTable to a template with markers, merged cells aren't merged anymore...
I'm using insert:copystyles marker, but it doesn't help.
How can I preserve merged cells?

Thank you for your help.

Hi GONTRAND,

Thank you for choosing Syncfusion Products.

You can work around this issue by using “MergedArea” property of the Worksheet Range

The following code snippet illustrates this.

[C#]
int cells = worksheet1.Range["A1"].MergeArea.Count;

We have attached the sample in the below link. Please make use of this sample and let us know if this helps you.

Please let us know if you require any further clarifications.

Regards,
Manojkumar.

Hi,

You mean you have to do that manually for each merged cell in the table?
For each merged cell, I'll have to find its row and col by code so that I can do what you said?

I have complex tables, and I thought there was an easier way...

Hi Gontrand,

Thanks for your patience.

We currently does not provide the support for 'merge style' when applying the template marker. So please find the merged area count and apply the merge for the cells after applying template marker as given in our last update.

We highly regret for the inconvenience.

Please let us know if you need any clarifications.

Thanks,

%dvLiqLibSummaryAccts.VALUE_AMT1;vertical;copyrange:R[0]C[0]:R[0]C[2]

This i am using to merge the two columns and will be applied to the below rows aswell.

Hi Balkrishan Dhar,

We highly regret for the inconvenience caused.

We could see that applying copyrange to templatemarker works perfectly for preserving the 'merging style' of the cells in template marker. Thanks for your update.

Thanks,
Manikandan.M
