Instructions on how to integrate the Vue.js components with an existing ASP MVC 5 project

This applies to all controls not just DataGrid. 

I want to be able to use just the Vue.js components (i.e. JavaScript only) in an existing ASP MVC 4 (or 5) project and I cannot find any instructions on how to make that happen.

I do see the integrated support for adding the MVC controls to an MVC project, but I don't want that.

Is there documentation someone could provide a link to, that will help me tackle this problem.
