GridDateTimeColumn does not allow for entry of leap year if year portion is not a leap year

When entering a date for a column that is GridDateTimeColumn that is 02/29/2024 and the GridDateTimeColumn is set to the current date (e.g. 10/04/2025) when you enter the 29, the control resets back to the original date and does not allow you to enter in the year.

You must enter the year first and then click back to enter the leap year.  This should not be happening as the date should not validate itself until a complete date is entered.
