NumberFormatInfo not exposed in designer

I have an accounting ledger grid where some of the numbers (like line numbers) are simple integers.  But when I edit them, they turn to decimals.  Why is the NumberFormatInfo not exposed in the designer (Columns Collection) for easy edit?  This should be there with all the options.
