Hello Syncfusion Team,

Currently, the only way to edit a cell is by double clicking on it and then editing the cell value in the editor that shows up. This can be somewhat tedious if a user has several cells to edit and they needed to double-click, then select everything in the cell, delete, and then start typing in their input.

Can you provide support for an alternative edit mode where if the user were to select a cell and then begin typing, it opens up the editor and replaces all of the text within this cell with the key that was just typed, and then continues allowing the user to edit? (This mode should function exactly like how you would expect cell-editing to work within Excel or Microsoft Project). Ensure that this only occurs if the Gantt Chart is in focus, as I don't want this to occur if a row happens to be selected and the user is attempting to input information in a different text box.

Let me know if you require any additional clarification for my request. Thank you.
