This issue is related to user experience and visual design of the color picker component. Currently, the left side of the color picker (showing the selected color) seems to be clickable (cursor is pointer, and background color changes when hovered). When the left side is clicked, nothing actually happens. The attached image is showing this misleading visual effect.

The right side (showing the dropdown icon), opens the color picker selector, and there the visual appearance is correct.

I think the visual appearance of the color picker should be reconsidered because the current design seems a bit misleading. I propose either the color picker selector opens also when the left side is clicked (i.e., same behavior in the left and right side), or then the left side should be made visually not clickable.
