When creating an orthogonal connection from one node to another, segments are automatically added to render a smooth connector between nodes. Additionally, you can edit the segments using segment thumbs, which may lead to the creation of multiple segments based on your edits. Currently, there is no support for limiting the creation of segments while creating or editing orthogonal connectors. We should provide an API to control the creation of additional connectors during these processes. For example, if the maximum SegmentThumb value is set to 3, the system should ensure that no more than 3 segment thumbs can be added or displayed. This constraint should be enforced both programmatically and through UI interactions to maintain consistency and avoid user confusion.
