Numeric Textbox not editable when using format

I have a numeric textbox that when i set the format, it loads correctly with the format as money, but when i click in the object to modify it, i press my numbers on the keyboard or numeric pad and it does not change.

but if i press the delete button and delete everything then it lets me type... this is a problem.
