TypeError: Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'split') when change condition

When changing the condition for a group that has a child group with no conditions then a 

TypeError: Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'split') error is generated and the condition, add and delete buttons for the empty group disappear and are replaced with a textbox.  

The issue can be reproduced using the following complex data binding sample in the query builder documentation. Delete the 3 conditions in the second group and change the group condition of the first group from AND to OR.
