I am attempting to use remote data binding as a data source for the Gantt chart. Our Gantt chart is allowed to have stand-alone parent tasks, parent tasks with nested children and other parent tasks, and stand-alone tasks. We notice that when there is a parent task, and one or more stand-alone tasks beneath it, if the parent task were to collapse itself after starting or triggered to be expanded then it will make the standalone tasks disappear on the grid side of the Gantt chart as if they were children of the parent task. The chart still knows about these stand-alone tasks being there as the right hand side still has the correct progress bars. The stand-alone tasks will only reappear on the grid side if either that parent task expands again or if another parent task below the stand-alone tasks were to expand. We have noticed that during the collapsing of a parent task that other parent tasks, with or without children, will persist through this action and not disappear.

We have discovered that, in the demos for data binding, the only demo to have both parent tasks with children and then have separate stand-alone tasks beneath those parents is the "Local Data". This does not work when We need to use "Remote Data".
