GridFilterSettings Ignored

When using the code below, I would expect that because the FilterBarMode is OnEnter that the filtering would no longer make requests whilst typing but apparently this still happens. How can I get it to not make requests whilst typing.

I've uploaded the code as a file as this box doesn't allow certain characters.
